ABBYY (ABBYY Software House) specializes in the development of software for optical character recognition (OCR), intelligent character recognition (ICR), linguistics, semantics, and electronic lexicography. Programmers and linguists are the 70% of ABBYY personnel. Most of ABBYY programmers graduate of the highly reputed Moscow Physics and Technical Institute and linguists - from the Linguistic department of Moscow State University.
